My favorite 19th century artist is Paul Cezanne. I am inspired by his style and the way he does still lifes in oils. I am particularly intrigued by his use of color. His work was my inspiration in this painting of 3 contrasting apples on an off-white background.
These are beautiful! I love the contrast in the colors of the three apples.
